It’s yet another milestone for our own Marcus Hanan as he has been named in the senior Leinster squad for this weekend’s game against the Dragons! This marks the very first time Marcus has been named in the senior squad, and comes hot on the heels of him signing his official academy contract in January.
Marcus started his rugby career in Clane at U7 level and showed tremendous talent, ambition, and work ethic from the very start. This dedication continued throughout his time here, with many of the coaches and teammates he interacted with believing he was ready for the next step. Marcus has since gone on to represent Leinster North Midlands, Leinster Academy sides, Ireland U18, and Ireland U20.
With an appearance off the bench, Marcus will receive his first ever senior cap for Leinster. We’re a proud club to have been part of his development, and to witness firsthand his hard work and talent as he strives to achieve more and more in the game. Well done Marcus and best of luck for the weekend!
The match takes place at 19:35 Friday 19th February, and you can watch Marcus and the team on Premier Sports 2.
